STTAIRS Community of Practice

The Community of Practice for teaching with and about AI

About this Community of Practice

The STTAIRS project, funded by the European Union's Erasmus+ programme, develops training programmes that integrate artificial intelligence (AI) tools into teachers' professional development for AI literacy.

STTAIRS brings together schools, universities, teacher training centres, and European networks from six countries to design, test, and scale a new model for teacher professional development: AI-supported, research-based, accessible, and adaptable to diverse educational contexts.

What will you find in this Community?

This is the official Community of Practice of STTAIRS. It is split into two subcommunities:

·       Technical community – Discuss existing AI-enhanced tools and plugins – e.g., how they can be used, how they can be integrated into learning management systems.

·       Pedagogical community – Discuss ideas for using AI in the classroom or teaching about AI to students – How can teachers use and teach about AI in various curriculum subjects? How can students learn to use AI meaningfully and critically? What are AI-enhanced EdTech tools that are useful and safe?

Requirements

You don’t need to know anything in advance. It is sufficient that you are curious to learn more about teaching generative AI in your classes, or how you can use it to support your teaching in a meaningful and responsible way. All are welcome: Educators, school leaders, teacher trainers, education technologists, EdTech actors, policy makers, pre-service teachers and researchers.
